Rugged LC-to-LC jumpers for fiber-to-the-antenna

Nov. 22, 2013
Cables Unlimited’s jumpers have Corning fiber and an IP-66/67 harsh-environment rating.

New LC-to-LC duplex fiber jumpers from Cables Unlimited have an IP-66/67 rating for harsh environments, and strain reliefs that exceed 56 pounds of pull. They operate in temperatures from -40 to +70 degrees Celsius.

The jumpers are made for fiber-to-the-antenna applications, in which conditions can be quite tough. The company explains, “Most wireless systems with remote radio head designs are installed outside, exposed to harsh environments that required ruggedized fiber-to-the-antenna cabling for reliable performance.” Cables Unlimited also explains, “The assembly is manufactured with Corning FREEDM One cable.”

Cables Unlimited is a division of RF Industries.
