Unmanaged IP67 Ethernet switch drives industrial PoE devices

ICP DAS USA, Inc. (Lomita, CA) has introduced its model NS-205PSE-IP67, an industrial 5-port unmanaged IP67 Ethernet switch that can be used to power Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices.

The NS-205PSE-IP67 PoE switch provides (5) Fast Ethernet ports, with (4) of the ports supporting IEEE 802.3af-compliant PoE operation. Designed for industrial applications in harsh environments, the company says the new switch ensures tight, waterproof and dustproof robust connections, and guarantees reliable operation, even in applications subject to high vibration and shock.

As a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) device, the NS-205PSE-IP67 provides up to 15.4 W of power per port. It supports IEEE 802.3/802.3u/802/3x protocols with 10/100M, full/half-duplex, and MDI/MDI-X auto-sensing capabilities. Featuring auto-detection of power devices (PD) and automatic power management, the company says the switch offers an economical and convenient solution for Industrial Ethernet networks.
