New product series is pre-loaded with Layer 2 network management software.

Antaira Technologies (Anaheim, CA), a specialist in industrial device networking and communications connectivity for harsh environmental applications, announced the expansion of its industrial networking infrastructure line with the LMX-0601G-SFP series. The flagship product in the series, the LMX-0601G-SFP, is a 6-port industrial gigabit managed Ethernet switch that supports a 12~48VDC power input. Each unit is designed with five 10/100/1000Tx Fast Ethernet ports and one dual rate 100/1000T SFP slot for fiber.

Featuring dual power inputs, the switch also provides a reverse polarity, EFT, surge (2,000VDC) and ESD (6,000VDC) protection. A built-in relay warning function to alerts system maintainers when power failures occur; this makes the switch ideal for applications requiring high reliability, distance extension capability, and flexibility for use in any harsh environment.

The product series is pre-loaded with Layer 2 network management software which supports Web Console or Telnet protocols using a serial console with CLI configuration for ease of use. All Antaira managed switches provide a redundant ring network function with RSTP and the ITU-G.8032 support, which eliminates the compatibility issue for any existing network concern. In addition, the built-in SNMP, VLAN, IGMP, and QoS features support the network planners to increase data transmission performance within the network. The switch's external USB2.0 port allows users to export and save all the configuration settings. In addition, a port-specific customizable labeling feature allows network planners to name each connection port on the switch. This allows for easy remote management by enabling easy reading of field devices.

The IP30 rated LMX-0601G-SFP series is backed by a five year warranty. The units are compact, fanless, and DIN-Rail/wall mountable. Each unit is built to withstand industrial networking hazards such as shock, drop, vibration, electromagnetic interference (EMI). The unit also includes temperature-extreme version options for either a standard temperature range (-10 to 70°C) or an extended operating temperature range (-40 to 75°C). The switch's dimensions are 46mm (W) x 99mm (D) x 142mm (H), with a unit weight of 1.5 pounds.
