Connectivity The connector technology being deployed in cabling networks continues to evolve. The nearly ubiquitous RJ45 may look like it always has, but the technology inside it has evolved to support data rates up to 10 Gbits/sec. Shielded and non-RJ45 copper interfaces are capable of even higher transmission. Meanwhile, there is no single fiber connector interface but rather dozens, although the LC connector and the MPO connector have become popular for high density fiber applications. We cover it all here.
