Black Box reselling CoreDial's hosted VoIP

Nov 11, 2009

November 11, 2009Black Box Network Services recently announced a strategic business relationship with CoreDial, LLC, allowing Black Box to resell CoreDial’s hosted Voice over IP solutions to enterprise customers.

“Our relationship with CoreDial enables us to offer our customers another attractive option to the traditional method of purchasing communications equipment,” said Terry Blakemore, president and chief executive officer of Black Box Network Services. “It also allows us to provide cost-effective SIP [Session Initiation Protocol] trunking to our legacy PBX customers, which can reduce their overall cost.”

According to Black Box, hosted VoIP solutions offer customers IP-enabled communications without the costs, management, and maintenance responsibilities of an on-premises VoIP application. The Black Box Hosted VoIP solution by CoreDial delivers a full suite of features including unified messaging, attendant, audio conferencing, and call-center applications without having to purchase the physical system and pay for ongoing upgrades or maintenance. Customers receive a monthly bill, which includes their local and domestic long-distance usage in addition to the managed service. The Black Box Hosted VoIP solution from CoreDial includes disaster-recovery capabilities because the equipment resides in a hardened data center with redundant backup.

Blakemore continued, “Any purchasing model that can be treated as an operating expense instead of a capital one is advantageous to many customers in this economy. A hosted solution provides the features and functionality that our customers need and enables them to realize significant internal benefits when they outsource their voice requirements.”

Said CoreDial’s chief executive officer Alan Rihm, “By leveraging our VoiceAxis software and carrier-class network infrastructure services, Black Box will be uniquely positioned to deliver high-quality, high-value hosted PBX and VoIP services to their enterprise business clients.”
