A network video surveillance and management system designed and installed by North American Video provides security to the recently opened Danbury St. Croix Casino in Danbury, Wisconsin.
Opened at the end of July, the casino replaced a 20-year-old gaming facility aptly named Hole in the Wall Casino and Hotel (pictured on the right).
The new casino (pictured on the left) has more than 500 slots and 18 gaming tables.
The network video surveillance and security system includes approximately 260 IP cameras as well as the Maxpro video management system and an integrated data manager from Honeywell. North American Video reports it executed an off-site build of the system's racks at its Las Vegas facility to help ensure a quality installation and meet what was a tight completion timeline. "This was a fast-track project that we needed to complete on time and on budget without compromising performance," said the casino's director of surveillance Don Karpenski. He had worked with North American Video on previous projects and said that, as in the past, they came through this time. "NAV's team was on-site with us through every phase of the project to assure our security personnel learned all the nuances of operating the new system."
North American Video's system sales executive Rich Branda added, "There was real synergy between NAV and the casino's property surveillance department. The two organizations worked well together in their common goal of implementing an IP-based video surveillance and security system. There was a strong commitment and the ongoing cooperative progress was evident."
