Telos Corporation (Ashburn, VA) announced that it will conduct site surveys, design secure wireless local area networks (WLAN) and install LAN cabling and network drops for ten large logistics centers operated by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

The task order, awarded to Dell under the Army's Information Technology Enterprise Solutions -- 2 Services (ITES-2S) IDIQ contract, supports a plan for an enterprise-wide 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN. Telos will design an architecture model that fully supports DLA's current and projected expansion and scalability requirements.

Telos notes that its past performance includes building secure WLAN solutions in challenging indoor/outdoor locations with numerous signal obstructions. The company says it has built a reputation for maximizing customer return on investment by automating processes and methodologies; and that DLA will benefit from use of the company's proprietary application for site survey, data collection and network design.
The new project is scheduled to be completed within twelve months.
