Video demos fiber-connection management

Feb 21, 2011

A video in the CableTalk series, produced by CXtec, provides a quick demonstration of how to manage recessed fiber connections including duplex connections as well as MTP-style multifiber connections. The video is slightly under two minutes in duration.

In the video product manager Josh Taylor works within a recessed fiber enclosure, which he notes is particularly helpful when fiber connections reside in an open-frame rack as opposed to an enclosed cabinet. The recessed position provides protection in such environments, he says.

Taylor also demonstrates the differences between using duplex connections (e.f. LC, SC, ST, MT-RJ) and MTP-style connections.
