Intransa adds distribution through Anixter

Mar 31, 2009

March 31, 2009 -- At ISC West, Intransa, a provider of video data management and retention platforms for physical security, announced a distribution agreement with Anixter, Inc., a distributor of supply chain services and products used to connect voice, video and security systems. The agreement significantly increases availability of Intransa's Smart CCTV Upgrades and All-IP Retention Solutions for Open NVRs, VMS and PSIM surveillance systems, maintains the company.

With its portfolio of security products, Intransa is the first provider of video data management and retention solutions to be offered by Anixter, fulfilling a need for businesses seeking to reduce surveillance cost and energy consumption, while eliminating the risk of lost video and increasing video quality and extending retention.

"The addition of Anixter to our sales coverage is a major enhancement for the company," comments Bud Broomhead, CEO of Intransa. "With proven expertise and global market reach, there is no one better than Anixter for integrators and dealers to turn to for the most cost-efficient and reliable physical security solutions. This partnership will be of tremendous benefit to both our security practitioner customers and our channel partners who offer video data management and retention solutions to meet today's surveillance needs."

More than 150 products from manufacturers of physical security, surveillance, imaging and technology products are already certified for risk-free integration with Intransa video data management and retention platforms through the company's StorAlliance technology partner program. Many, such as intelligent IP video management system vendor On-Net Surveillance Systems, Inc., are available through Anixter Inc. and are proven in integration with Intransa solutions in multiple customer deployments.

Intransa now offers its video surveillance-optimized solutions to the market through Anixter Inc., supported by an extensive manufacturer's representative firm network with Intransa channel sales teams across Canada and the U.S. Intransa products are also available through AMAG Technology, Inc. and the PSA Technology Alliance, and through a variety of integrators including Convergint Technologies. Internationally, a network of distributors and resellers offer Intransa, including Zycko Ltd. in EMEA, Macnica Networks in Japan, and Databridge Communications (M) Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia, plus integrators such as Bitelco Diebold Chile in South America.
