MaxCell innerduct approved for USDA rural development

Apr 16, 2009

April 16, 2009--MaxCell, a flexible, multi-celled, fabric innerduct system designed specifically for the network construction industry, has been accepted for use by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The agency will now list MaxCell innerduct as acceptable for use in its Rural Development projects.

Suited for use in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) projects, MaxCell is a flexible innerduct system, compared with traditional rigid systems, and is designed to reduce or eliminate the number of conduits required in new construction.

"Our product enables users to get three times as much accomplished for one-third the cost, something we feel is highly beneficial for these projects," says Mike Miller, vice president for MaxCell.

MaxCell claims that more than 100 million feet of its innerduct has been installed around the world in a variety of applications, including cable TV, telecom, power/utilities, municipalities, university, corporate and hospital campuses and military/government installations.
