Adtran adds Synnex as distribution partner

May 8, 2009

May 8, 2009 -- Adtran, a supplier of networking and communications products, has named business process services company Synnex Corp. as a new distribution partner. Under terms of an agreement, Synnex will offer its more than 15,000 resellers Adtran's complete line of enterprise networking and access products. Adtran says the move broadens its reach in the channel and provides added benefits for its reseller partners who are seeking end-to-end solutions to address the needs of small and medium business and distributed enterprise customers.

The company maintains that, as technology advances and convergence of voice, video and data networking occurs, resellers and end users are increasingly challenged to maintain their daily business and also perform the solutions research and development required to stay ahead. Thus, says Adtran, as the solutions launch point for Synnex, the Synnex Integrated Communications Group (ICG) goes beyond technology-based product distribution and serves as the conduit for unique vendor solutions that are fully integrated with voice, video and data networking and business applications, in a manner that delivers business process improvements and a measurable return on investment for resellers and their end users. Synnex ICG streamlines business processes by offering specialized consultative support through the ICG Support Team and its ICG vendor partners, such as Adtran.

"Adtran brings a strong reputation for high quality products and unmatched customer service in the telecom/networking business today. We are pleased to partner with Adtran to distribute its complete line of networking and access solutions," says Bob Stegner, senior vice president, marketing, North America, of Synnex Corp. "Adtran's expansive portfolio of more than 1,700 products allows Synnex partners an opportunity to offer more complete and cost competitive solutions to their end customers while providing a lower total cost of ownership and greater return on investment proposition."

"Our partnership with Synnex ICG will provide [our] partners with an added measure of expertise and collaboration," adds Ted Cole, vice president of channel sales, Adtran enterprise networks division. "When you combine the Adtran product line with the Synnex ICG expertise, you have a winning combination for reaching more customers."
