Connectria adds private cloud computing services

Jun 11, 2009

June 11, 2009 -- Connectria Corporation, a provider of hosting solutions, announced the addition of its Private Cloud Computing offering to its portfolio of managed services. The offer follows Connectria division Redplaid's 2008 launch of cloud computing services, and Redplaid's recent announcement of its Private Cloud Computing option.

Connectria's Private Cloud Computing is aimed at its traditional enterprise-class customers. Similar to typical cloud computing solutions, private clouds are intended to deliver the benefits of cloud computing, but within a computing environment fully dedicated for the sole use of a specific customer.

Connectria says its Private Cloud Computing will enable customers to specify a custom configuration of virtualization software, servers and storage from a multitude of vendors, along with a customized approach for delivering managed services to each customer.

"Our Private Cloud solutions are a natural extension of the company's services and expertise," says Rich Waidmann, president and CEO of Connectria. "By combining our cloud computing knowledge with our ability to deliver customized hosting solutions, we're in a unique position to provide secure, reliable private clouds to our enterprise-class customers."

Waidmann adds, "Our customers view Private Cloud Computing as an opportunity to reduce their costs and increase their responsiveness to the needs of their business. By relying upon Connectria to build and manage their private cloud environment, our customers can immediately gain the benefits of cloud computing without having to confront the significant technical challenges and investment required to build a private cloud on their own."
