Ethernet Alliance to host SFP+ Ethernet plugfest

Sep 3, 2009

September 3, 2009 -- The Ethernet Alliance will host a private interoperability test event, or plugfest, at the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Lab (UNH-IOL) in Durham, NH, during the week of October 19, 2009.

The SFP+ plugfest provides both Ethernet Alliance members and non-members the opportunity to perform interoperability testing and targets interoperability testing of equipment designed to meet IEEE Std. 802.3aq-2006 (10GBASE-LRM) and SFF-8431. The focus of the plugfest will be on testing components and systems relative to SFF-8431 and operation to the 10GBASE-LRM and direct-attach copper cable (10GSFP+Cu) specifications.
