September 9, 2009 -- Optical Cable Corporation (OCC) has added a zone distribution enclosure designed to offer a cost-effective, space-saving solution for fiber optic cross connects. The ZDMB6B small fiber optic enclosure is intended for telecommunication rooms, enclosures and cabinets where space is at a premium. Suited for indoor wall mount applications, the enclosure accepts all OCC fiber optic adapter plates and provides splicing options for up to 12 fibers.

Billed cost-effective option for most zone distribution applications, the ZDMB6B enclosure can be easily installed in low profile areas with less than a two-inch clearance for either splicing or patching applications. The enclosure is MTP compatible for zone applications and accepts one OCC fiber optic adapter plate. In addition, the enclosure offers convenient fiber management clips for cable identification and management and is lockable for secure access. Customized configurations are available.

The ZDMB6B enclosure comes standard with a tamper resistant fastening system and is NEMA Type 3 compliant, and backed by a 15-year warranty.
