Swiss structured cabling firm R&M brings Cat 6A to the Middle East

May 10, 2010

In a product launch held at the Intercontinental Abu Dhabi, Swiss structured cabling specialist Reichle & De-Massari (R&M) unveiled its Cat 6A connector; the event marked the introduction of Cat 6A copper cabling connectivity in the Middle East.

R&M will continue holding a series of dedicated product launches across the region, introducing its Cat 6A  solutions to partners and customers in Amman (May 11), Kuwait City (May 13th) and Riyadh (May 24th).

Swiss structured cabling firm sees, realizes big opportunity in Africa

R&M says its "installation-friendly" Cat. 6A connector is compliant with the latest ISO/IEC specifications for shielded cabling in high performance data networks, and provides outstanding performance for signal transmission, plus headroom for demanding applications in the 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 Gb/s) range.

Jean Pierre Labry, Managing Director of R&M Middle East & Africa comments, “R&M’s Cat. 6A  signifies a real breakthrough for data networks by enabling maximum performance and reliability.  Any future proof network should begin with compliant ISO/IEC Cat 6A as it allows for future network capacity and reserves for bandwidth even beyond today’s speeds and standards.”

“Our recent event in Abu Dhabi ushered in the era of Cat 6A in the Middle East,” added Labry.

The Middle East is considered a key market for the company, where R&M says it is among the top three players in the structured cabling field.
