Cabling testing, verification the focus of online seminar

Jun 9, 2011

JDSU will use a one-hour webinar on June 14 to describe the methods it implemented to ensure the performance of InteropNet - the high-speed network that served attendees of Interop Las Vegas held in May. JDSU was the official testing vendor for InteropNet.

"It is imperative that networks like InteropNet are built with a strong foundation," JDSU said when announcing the webinar. "To achieve this, there are a number of proactive steps that need to be followed prior to putting users on the network."

Among those steps, JDSU said, are the following.

The one-hour webinar, taking place at 1:00 pm EDT on Tuesday, June 14, will highlight how JDSU accomplished all of the steps listed above in the InteropNet environment. The InteropNet commissioning took place in a very short period of time, and JDSU says the webinar will highlight best practices that can be applied in enterprise networks.

Webinar speakers will be Ed Gastle, product line manager for network and enterprise test; Tyler van der Ploeg, RCDD, product line manager for fiber inspection and test; and Tim Yount, market development manager for fiber network testing.

The webinar will be delivered in WebEx format. You can register for it here.
