Cabling installers receiving intense two-day training

Aug 24, 2011

In addition to introducing a new line of patch cords at the upcoming BICSI Fall Conference, comCables will launch its Certified Installer Training and Partner Program. The company says it "worked with BICSI master instructors to develop an intensive, two-day training program that covers telecommunications standards 568, 569, 606, 607 and 758, and NFPA 70 NEC and NFPA 780 Lightning Protection." The training, comCables says, will teach proper techniques for planning, placing, terminating and testing. Only invited installers will participate.

The training program is part of comCables' partner program that includes such benefits as rebates, product discounts and design/engineering as well as marketing support. Certified installers will be able to extend comCables' link and channel warranty to end-user customers.

Tom McAllister, comCables' design and engineering manager, said, "We know how important proper installation is from the architects to the end users. The comCables Certified Installer Training will not only take our contractors' skill set to the next level, but it will ensure system performance for the end user."
