Network & Communication Technology announces partnerships

In addition to releasing a new version of its planet cable/equipment design and management software for Microsoft Windows 95 and NT, Network & Communication Technology Inc. (NCT--Park Ridge, NJ) will integrate products from its partnerships with Brady USA, Seagate Software, and Network World into its software line.

William Spencer, NCT president, says these alliances make planet 95/NT a more comprehensive package. "No one software product can do it all. And if an organization like ours tries to do everything, then we end up doing everything halfway," he explains.

When NCT realized it needed to bulk-produce telecommunications labels that met industry standards as a way to support functionality, it decided to align with Brady USA. "Labeling is a key component of telecommunications administration and, with reliable labels, infrastructure administering becomes simpler," Spencer says.

NCT`s software also lacked an inventory system for network device configuration data. The resulting partnership with Seagate Software integrates its LAN Directory into planet 95/NT. According to Spencer, the addition saves time and eases the maintenance of complete and accurate documentation for enterprise networks.

The third partnership will enable NCT`s customers to acquire additional clip art from Network World`s NetDraw, with the clip art to be used for building network plans. NetDraw will again be used with planet 95/NT.
