Trip to the Rockies is prize for a winning Installer Trip

Do you have an installation tip that saves time or money? Then you may want to enter the Installer Tips Contest being held in conjunction with Cabling Installation Expo `97. Sponsored by Cabling Installation & Maintenance (Nashua, NH) and bicsi (Tampa, FL), the Expo will take place October 13 to 15 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC.

In line with the Expo`s theme--"Reach for Success!"--the grand prize for the best tip this year will be a three-day, four-night vacation for two at a resort in Colorado`s Rocky Mountains. The prize includes deluxe accommodations, airfare, and a rental car. Second and third prizes will also be awarded. At last year`s inaugural Cabling Installation Expo `96, the top prize in the contest was a 31/2 horsepower mini Indy car, which was won by Todd E. Myers, an operations coordinator at Pennsylvania State University.

Contest judges will be looking for simple and innovative shortcuts or cost-saving solutions for problems relating to cabling installation or maintenance. Winning tips, as well as those suitable for publication, will be featured in future issues of Cabling Installation & Maintenance.

Judging for the contest will take place on the final morning of the Expo, and prizes will be awarded that afternoon. Contestants do not have to be present to win. Entry forms can be obtained by calling Gladys Haberman at (603) 891-9239 or by e-mail: gladysh@pennwell.com. They can also be obtained at the Cabling Installation & Maintenance Web site: www.cable-install.com, or in the July 1997 issue of Cabling Installation & Maintenance, page 69. Entry forms will also be included in Expo registration packets. For more information about the Installer Tips Contest, contact Gail Leach Carvelli at (603) 891-9418 or e-mail: gailc@penn-well.com. For more information on exhibiting, call Marianne Lewis at (603) 891-9241.
