Get out and vote!

A utumn is election time in America, and we at Cabling Installation & Maintenance certainly want you to get out and vote. However, we are interested in your doing more than just your civic duty; we also want you to vote for our first Readers` Choice IQ Awards.

You will find a ballot, along with a description and picture of each finalist, in the accompanying issue of Cabling Product News. We have called the program IQ Awards because the criteria for judging are a product`s Impact, Importance, Innovation, and Quality. We call them Readers` Choice Awards because, although a panel of experts has screened the many entries we received and selected the best as finalists, we need you, our readers, to make the final selection.

Please fill out the ballot, selecting one winning product in each product category, and fax or mail it back to us. We will tabulate the results and publish the winners in the December issue of Cabling Product News. We also plan to hold an awards ceremony for the winners at the bicsi Winter Conference, to be held January 18 to 21, 1999, in Orlando, FL.

If you stop to think about it, you will recognize that many industries have awards programs for the most innovative products introduced during the year. Until now, the premises and campus cabling industry has not had such a program. It is one more mark of the growth and maturation of our industry that such an awards program is being inaugurated. All we need now is your participation, so that the Readers` Choice IQ Awards presented by Cabling Installation & Maintenance will truly reflect your views about the most significant and highest-quality cabling products introduced during the past year.
