Fiber-termination breakout kits - Cabling Installation & Maintenance

Fiber-termination breakout kits

Nov 1, 1999

The new indoor/outdoor buffer-tube breakout kits are designed for field termination of any loose-tube cable with field-installable connectors. The kits offer a small, simple, cost-effective solution for users who want to field-terminate connectors. They require no additional hardware or space than that needed for terminating tight-buffered cable.

Each kit features a 900-micron breakout assembly that is color-coded to match the fiber color scheme. The outdoor kits have clear Teflon 900-micron color-coded tubes for identification. The breakout assembly is available with 6- and 12-fiber kits, with breakout tube lengths of 24 or 36 inches. The different lengths offer users the flexibility to incorporate several hardware options.
