Market-research and analysis firm In-Stat is projecting that small and medium businesses will increase their spending on wireless-data services by 42 percent in the study period 2010 to 2015. The category of small- and home-office, which In-Stat regards as those with between one and four employees, will be the frontrunners with more than a 46-percent spend increase over those years.
Greg Potter is a data analyst with In-Stat. He explains that there is basically no growth in voice services across businesses of all sizes. He adds that carriers might see slight increases or decreases in the need for messaging, but no significant movement in either direction. It's all about data access for mobile devices, he concludes.
