CXtec announces Nortel continued support program

Oct 5, 2009

October 5, 2009 -- CXtec, a provider of new and certified pre-owned data networking and voice equipment, has announced its Nortel Continued Support Program. Under the program, CXtec says it will continue to support the hardware and customer service needs of Nortel data networking and telecommunications customers throughout Avaya’s acquisition of Nortel and in the future.

CXtec is one of Nortel’s main partners in North America, having sold and supported more than 3.3 million of the company’s data ports and 300,000 phones worldwide. CXtec notes that it has supported legacy SynOptics and Bay Networks customers for more than 15 years, and has been a Nortel Premium Advantage Partner for the past 10 years.

Since CXtec warehouses more than $20 million in Nortel inventory, the company says it is able to support enterprise level customers with either legacy equipment or current networking and telephony products. “CXtec has seen various manufacturer disruptions over the years and has helped customers through product migration and support turmoil,” comments Frank Kobuszewski, vice president of CXtec’s Technology Solutions Group. “Today, CXtec continues to support legacy products no longer carried by Nortel, Cisco, 3Com, HP and other manufacturers.”

As a result of its multiple active data and IP telephony technical certifications, CXtec says it has the knowledge to provide technical expertise and qualified field technical staffing to Nortel customers. CXtec also maintains what it claims is the only direct relationship with the Nortel Remanufactured Equipment Program, which enables the company to purchase certified Nortel re-manufactured products straight from the factory and pass the savings on directly to the customer.
