Specialized Products adds RJ45 crimp tool

Feb 12, 2010

SOUTHLAKE, Texas -- Specialized Products Company (SPC) has added its EZ RJ45 Crimp Tool Pro HD to its 2010 source book catalog offering for professional system integrators and installers.

Designed for daily use by cable installers, AV and home security professionals, and IT professionals, the company says the crimper provides a ratcheted, high leverage, stable platform for consistent, repeatable terminations. The tool installs CAT 5, CAT 5e and CAT 6 modular plugs and is specifically designed for both EZ RJ45 and all standard RJ45 connectors, as well as RJ11 and RJ12 connector types (except AMP).

Specialized says the crimper is also suitable for high-performance, larger OD cables that are tougher to terminate due to larger wire gauges, thicker, harder insulation and pair-separating splines. The company further maintains that the tool works best with its patented EZ "crimp and trim" RJ45 modular connectors.

“Users can be assured that every termination will meet FCC specifications,” says a representative for Specialized Products.
