D-Link India appoints new VP for structured cabling business

Consumer and business networking and connectivity provider D-Link's India business unit announced that it has bolstered its passive infrastructure cabling segment with the appoinment of Mr. Vikas Pinjarkar as vice president for the company's structured cabling business in India.

"This is a very crucial period here at D-Link, as a lot of challenges and exciting time awaits us; therefore we wish to create a strong and dedicated team that will add to the overall growth of the company," commented Mr. Tushar Sighat, CEO-D-Link (India) Ltd. Vikas Pinjarkar brings to D-Link's India division experience spanning over 17 years in the IT Industry. He is a founding member of the BICSI chapter in India. He has functioned as the official country representative for the first year at BICSI and subsequently as a chairman for the consecutive 4 years. He is currently a part of the 10 member Executive Steering Committee of BICSI India. He counts among his credits successful prior stints with organizations including Zicom, Advantek Networks and Microsemi Corporation.

Mr. Pinjarkar was also part of D-Link's India team from 1998-2005, and is cited in a company press release "one of the key individuals who was instrumental in the successful launch of D-Link cabling solution in India."
