Cox Business and Phoenix NAP, a datacenter and network access point, have partnered to deepen security, redundancy, and datacenter accessibility for small and medium-sized businesses across the state of Arizona.

Phoenix NAP features 148,000 square feet of raised-floor datacenter space supported by divergent network feeds. It combines medium voltage power distribution delivered by four 10 megawatt feeds running along diverse paths from the electrical substation, N+1 Cummins backup generators, S&C PureWave(TM) UPS systems, and McQuay Modular Central Plants to promote concurrent maintainability. This allows aspects of the power or mechanical distribution chain to be serviced without losing any operational performance.
The Phoenix NAP, the facility of which overlays 12 layers of security, is a PCI DSS-validated services provider and an SAS 70-certified facility.
Cox Business built dual-fiber entries into the building, supported by redundant network switching centers. The connections reside on multiple OC-192 fiber rings. Cox Business can serve as the primary and back-up network for all datacenter customers to meet their business continuity requirements.
