New surge suppressors from Para Systems protect twisted-pair and coaxial cabling circuits that serve data, security, audio-visual and HDTV applications, Para Systems says.

"The new MMS Slimline products provide protection for cables from electrical spikes and surges that can be devastating to electronic equipment and valuable data," Para Systems said when announcing the new product introductions.

Among the newly introduce suppressors is the MMS686SCT, which offers coaxial and phone/fax/network (twisted-pair) surge protection, in addition to eight electrical outlets. The product is pictured at the bottom of this page.

Also new is the MMS130RC, which Para Systems describes as "an ultra low-profile three-outlet wall tap which includes coax protection." The company points out that the unit is well suited for placement behind wall-mounted HDTVs, and that they offer a rotating power outlet and coaxial connection to aid in routing wires out of sight.
