February 13, 2007 -- Silent Knight, a Honeywell company and provider of industry-wide compatible fire alarm solutions for small to mid-sized institutions and commercial sites, recently announced the completion of the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listing process for its IFP-NetUL Fire System Manager.

The IFP-NetUL is a PC-based system that works with Silent Knight's intelligent analog/addressable fire control panels, the IFP-1000, IFP-100 and IFP-50. The IFP-NetUL also features upgraded control capabilities that allow the system manager to provide reset and silence functions for all three fire control panels when installed in a UL-compliant installation.

The IFP-NetUL features a graphical display interface that allows users to auto-navigate and locate the device related to an alarm or event based on the priority of the event. Floor plans can be easily viewed in different degrees of detail via a built-in zoom feature. Pull-down menus and proximity displays are available for device-specific information and functions. A built-in history manager records operator, event and response with a time and date stamp for efficient record keeping.

The IFP-NetUL supports up to 16 nodes. The system manager can be used to identify hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and areas, as well as to handicap special needs using information labels with fully linked multimedia capability. All components of the IFP-NetUL can be easily backed up and stored in a history database.

Silent Knight is part of the Honeywell's life safety group, and a provider of commercial fire alarms, advanced detection and notification products, and home patient remote tracking.
