TP-Link expands Wi-Fi 6 product line

TP-Link's new tri-band routers, PCIe adapter and Wi-Fi 6 range extender are on display at this week's CES 2020 in Las Vegas.

At this week's CES 2020 in Las Vegas, TP-Link announced that it has expanded its Wi-Fi 6 product line with two new AX6600 tri-band routers (Archer AX90 and Archer GX90), a new AX3000 PCI-Express Network Card (Archer TX3000E) and a new AX1500 range extender (RE505X).

A description of each new product, per the company, is as follows:

Archer AX6600 Triband Wi-Fi 6 Router (Archer AX90)

"The new Archer AX90 Wi-Fi 6 Router delivers ultra-fast AX6600 tri-band Wi-Fi at speeds up to 6600Mbps (1201 Mbps @5 GHz_1 + 4804 Mbps @5 GHz_2 + 574 Mbps @2.4 GHz). The router’s powerful 1.5GHz quad-core processor ensures fast transmission speeds and ensures that all devices and applications run smoothly. Featuring a 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port, a 1 Gbps WAN/LAN port, three Gigabit LAN ports, and both a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port, it offers ultra-fast and flexible connections from the router to your home devices. Additionally, its eight high-gain antennas equipped with beamforming ensure vast coverage. The Archer AX90 has an MSRP of $299.99 and is expected to be available in April 2020.

TP-Link Archer AX6600 Triband Wi-Fi 6 Gaming Router (Archer GX90)

A dedicated gaming band speeds up to 4804 Mbps to ensure the best gaming streaming experience. The Archer GX90 has an MSRP of $329.99 and is expected to be available in late Q2 2020.

TP-Link Archer Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 PCI-E Adapter (Archer TX3000E)

The Archer TX3000E has an MSRP of $49.99 and is expected to be available in January 2020.

TP-Link Wi-Fi 6 AX1500 Dual Band Range Extender (RE505X)

"Finally, the TP-Link RE505X is a Wi-Fi 6 AX1500 dual band range extender that can bring Wi-Fi coverage to your existing dead zones. It also supports access point mode letting you create a new Wi-Fi network, adding to your wired network. It also features TP-Link OneMesh so you can create a Wi-Fi 6 mesh network throughout your home when you pair it with compatible TP-Link Wi-Fi 6 Routers. Additionally, the TP-Link Tether app enables easy set-up and keeps you in control even when you aren't home."

The RE505X has an MSRP of $69.99 and is expected to be available in March 2020.
