Belden announces global restructuring actions
December 4, 2008 -- Belden has announced plans to streamline its manufacturing, sales and administrative functions worldwide. The restructuring will result in a work force reduction of approximately 1,800 associates (20 percent) and consolidation of some of the company's manufacturing operations.

December 4, 2008 -- Solarflare Communications announced general availability of its second-generation 10GBASE-T PHY product to switch and server ODMs. The company says its 10Xpress SFT9001 has completed extensive package and silicon reliability testing to support volume production of 10GBASE-T switch and adapter products.
