May 27, 2009--GAO Comm's Plug and Play Ethernet media converter series conforms to the international network IEEE 802.3 standard, and is designed to convert long distance data signals between 10/100 Base-Tx and 100 Base-Fx Fast Ethernet.

These converters are used as a standalone unit or as a slide-in module to the converter rack or at a central wiring closet. Featuring built-in remote diagnostic capability, the media converters deploy a proprietary switch chip design, and provide 512KB SSRAM buffer and 2K MAC address list. They connect fiber cable to twisted cable segments without extra network operations, and support both full-duplex and half-duplex communication.

LEDs ensure a work-state diagnosis, while options include broadcast filtering, address auto-learning and auto-update, and store-and-forward mechanism.

These Tower Tech XR cooling towers use evaporative cooling to remove heat generated within the data center by IT equipment. Composite cooling towers are more compact and significantly lighter than metal towers. They arrive at a data center site pre-built.
Data center designers shouldn’t sleep on the benefits of fiberglass construction materials.
