July 29, 2009 -- CXtec, a provider of new and certified pre-owned computer networking and telephony equipment, announced that it is now offering its RapidCare, a next-business-day advance hardware replacement service.

The service covers major brands, including Cisco, Nortel, 3Com, HP and others. The company says the service "enables customers to put their entire network on a maintenance program at a fraction of the typical costs for putting only the core of their network on a traditional OEM maintenance contract." The company further claims that the service can save customers "50% or greater over traditional Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance programs."

"We developed RapidCare to give our customers a hassle-free, cost-effective alternative to traditionally cumbersome and expensive OEM maintenance programs such as [Cisco's] SMARTnet. If the unforeseen happens, and a network outage occurs, our RapidCare customers have peace of mind knowing a fully tested, ready-to-deploy replacement product will arrive the next business day, guaranteed," comments Frank Kobuszewski Jr., vice president, Technology Solutions Group, CXtec. "With RapidCare, our customers have the freedom to choose a program that is individually developed to meet their specific cost requirements and network needs."

RapidCare customers have direct access to manufacturer-certified CXtec engineers for support in troubleshooting any network issues that may arise. According to the company, the new service embodies "the CXtec Technology @ Your Pace philosophy," allowing customers to extend the life of their network and obtain maintenance on products that have been deemed "end-of-life" and are no longer supported by the manufacturer. Customers can choose when and how to upgrade their networks, and perform the upgrade on their schedules with minimal business interruption.

CXtec's existing equal2new program allows customers to keep spares on-site; however, when on-site sparing is not an option, the RapidCare service provides customers free inbound and outbound shipping as a standard feature. Customer orders are packed and shipped from CXtec's 70,000 square foot ISO-certified and electrostatic discharge (ESD)-protected testing facility, arriving on-site immediately ready for installation.

CXtec customers can visit www.cxtec.com/rapidcare or call 1-800-767-3282 to learn more about the service.
