Cable entry device protects against abrasion

Aug. 20, 2010
The CED130 also provides cable management, organization and aesthetic appeal.

A cable entry device with a slotted cover available from Arlington Industries organizes and protects low-voltage cable against abrasion. The CED130 is the latest in Arlington's Scoop series of entrance plates and hoods. It is nonmetallic.

The manufacturer says that in addition to aesthetic appeal, the cable entry device offers cable organization and management capabilities. Mounting holes allow installers to attach a decorator-style wall plate to the low-voltage side of an electrical box, which the company says provides extra support to the installation.
