WASHINGTON -- Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS) has been awarded a $10 million contract by the United States National Guard Bureau to upgrade communications connectivity for eight Air National Guard (ANG) facilities. The IT services modernization will provide an integrated, high bandwidth structured cabling system that delivers sufficient information transport capability to support the Guard's current and future mission requirements.

The eight facilities to be upgraded are located in Savannah, GA; Savannah Combat Readiness Training Center; Gulfport, MS; Fresno, CA; Selfridge, MI; Rosecrans, MO; Thompson Field, MS; and Tulsa, OK.

"This effort continues the outstanding working relationship Harris has cultivated with the Air National Guard," said Mike Deloney, vice president and general manager, Department of Defense Programs, Harris IT Services. "We already support two other programs that provide telecommunication enhancements and infrastructure upgrades on 14 Guard bases."
