Future Facilities North America, a provider of data center infrastructure simulation software, is hosting a series of free web seminars in January. The seminars will focus on IT capacity and energy management in data centers.
The company already produced the first one, entitled "Reclaiming Capacity in an Existing Building," on January 5. The next three will be held on consecutive Wednesdays, at 9:00 am EST and 9:00 am PST. The web seminars will reference case studies that illustrate how three financial institutions were able to add capacity, extend infrastructure longevity and reduce environmental impact through improved IT infrastructure management. Future Facilities engineers David King, Neil Silke and Matt Warner will provide detailed instructions on tools, techniques and best practices for data center modeling.
- The lineup for the remaining web seminars is as follows.
January 12 - Achieving Design Capacity in a New Data Center
January 19 - Maintaining and Upgrading a Legacy Data Center
January 26 - Comparing the Cost and Risk Differences Between Proactive and Reactive Approaches to IT and Environmental Management
Future Facilities' North America general manager Sherman Ikemoto said the company "is committed to providing best-of-breed tools that help data cetner and IT managers improve data center efficiency while decreasing downtime. Data center modeling tools such as [Future Facilities'] 6SigmaDC can help data center managers add capacity while reducing costs and environmental impact."
