Lensec to intro cloud-based video management system at ISC West

The cloud-computing smart-client platform enables businesses to manage remote operations from a central command point or headquarters.

LENSEC, a supplier of enterprise security solutions, will introduce its next-generation Perspective Video Management Solution at ISC West April 6-8 in Las Vegas. Perspective is a smart-client system, which means it can operate on any computer without the intrusive installation of thick-client software. The cloud-computing platform enables businesses to manage remote operations from a central command point or headquarters.

“At LENSEC, we pride ourselves on anticipating client needs and combining proven technologies with the latest advances to provide easy-to-use, adaptable solutions,” says David Crawford, LENSEC CEO. “LENSEC began using web-based architecture to provide cloud-based video management solutions long before software-as-a-service and cloud computing became buzz terms. Perspective VMS delivers on our reputation for strong customer service and results.”

Collaboration and situational awareness

Perspective VMS enables real-time collaboration, allowing security professionals to share video views and text. With remote video surveillance, first responders and operators can analyze fields of view for unusual activity and take proactive measures to maintain safety while rapidly investigating post-incident scenes.

The secure Internet application provides flexibility in a wired, wireless or remote environment, enabling a flexible security workforce. Perspective combines customizable map-based situational awareness with intuitive forensic archive management so security personnel can view events from all perspectives.

The product’s easy-to-operate display panel places functions in convenient locations. Frequent use of graphics and visuals—including overlays, video thumbnails, maps, and pop-ups—familiarize users to the intuitive design. At the same time, administrators and technical staff appreciate its diagnostic alerts, user and component reporting, and open architecture platform for integrating future hardware and software devices and systems.

“We specialize in helping customers get the highest return on their network investment by tying disparate components together into a common user interface,” says Crawford. “We make security expandable, scalable and affordable.”

LENSEC partners with security integrators to provide custom security solutions. With a 13-year history working with state and local governments, transportation, health care and large-scale industrial facilities, the company says it understands the challenges that security dealers and integrators face, as well as the importance of anticipating and responding to customer needs.

LENSEC seeks partners that excel at offering complementary expertise in areas such as situational awareness, force protection, active access control and response management. LENSEC's executive team will be available to discuss partnership opportunities, as well as provide in-depth training on Perspective during ISC West.

Perspective VMS is built on Microsoft’s Silverlight platform, offering an Internet application with a completely web-enabled interface. With a nod to the Las Vegas location, LENSEC is also offering a turn in its money grab machine for attendees who visit Booth 5041 for a demo.
