LG-Ericsson launches unmanaged PoE switches

LG-Ericsson USA announced the launch of two new iPECS switches designed to simplify the installation of network devices including wireless access points and IP cameras.

LG-Ericsson USA announced the launch of two new iPECS switches: the iPECS ES-1008P eight-port and ES-1016P 16-port Fast Ethernet unmanaged switches with PoE capability. These newest additions to the company's iPECS ES switch family are designed to simplify the installation of a range of network devices, including PCs, wireless access points, IP cameras, and IP phones.

These newest iPECS ES unmanaged PoE switches make quick connections with no software configuration required; installation is extremely quick and simple, says the company. Four IEEE802.3af PoE ports on the iPECS ES-1008P and eight on the iPECS ES-1016P are each capable of supplying up to 15.4 Watts of power to eliminate the need to place networked devices near AC power outlets.
