Fluke Networks adds Excel products to DTX database

July 14, 2011
Excel cabling products are experiencing growing deployment in the U.K. and Europe.

Excel Networking Solutions recently announced that its copper and optical cabling offerings have been added to the Fluke Networks DTX tester's cable manufacturer's database. Version 2.52 of Fluke Networks' software, which can be downloaded for free from the Fluke Networks website, includes the Excel products.

As Excel explained in a release announcing its inclusion, the listing allows DTX users to select the cable type they are going to test and submit the results for testing, easing and quickening the process of obtaining a cabling manufacturer's warranty. Excel's product manager for infrastructure Simon Robinson said the products' inclusion in the DTX database was "important and essential." He noted the widespread use of Fluke Networks DTX testers and growing deployment of Excel products in cabling projects throughout the United Kingdom and Europe.
