Polargy, ASM Modular team up for data center aisle containment

Raised-floor provider ASM Modular Systems is now the exclusive distributor of Polargy's aisle-containment and airflow-management systems.

Polargy, a provider of hot- and cold-aisle containment systems for data centers, has partnered with ASM Modular Systems, a raised-access-flooring company, to provide a complementary set of airflow solutions for the data center.

Under the partnership, ASM Modular Systems is the exclusive distributor of Polargy's PolarPlex Containment System in the United States and Canada. As the distributor for Polargy, ASM provides its network of channel partners and installers for Polargy's PolarPlex containment system doors, panels and curtains; PolarRack airflow- and containment-friendly server racks; and PolarDAM cooling accessories.

"With adoption of containment, our customers are increasingly asking ASM to deploy airflow solutions that consider both the floor and the room," said ASM general manager Nathan Olson.

Polargy's chief executive officer Cary Frame said, "With today's IT equipment densities in the data center, it is critical to integrate the whole airflow path. This partnership brings together the two logical elements of that airflow path - the floor and the room above it."

These Tower Tech XR cooling towers use evaporative cooling to remove heat generated within the data center by IT equipment. Composite cooling towers are more compact and significantly lighter than metal towers. They arrive at a data center site pre-built.
