Fiber-optic cable runs get do-over in job site video

May 3, 2012
The Fiber Ninja strikes again.

Shot at the job site, a recent Youtube video from cable installer The Fiber Ninja documents his clean-up of a considerable mass of shoddily deployed fiber-optic cabling runs. "Not only were there sharp right angles in the fiber duct but much of the slack was taken up vertically," writes The Fiber Ninja. "This eventually slid down the vertical trough and pooled in a big mess at the floor." For the fix, the installer cleans up the runs and adds new fiber ducting overhead to manage the slack, while removing the sharp edges.
