Fiber-optic dome closure simplifies FTTH, backhaul deployments

Preformed Line Products Co. has released its Coyote One fiber-optic dome closure.

Preformed Line Products Co. (NASDAQ: PLPC) has released its Coyote One fiber-optic dome closure, which incorporates a patented, segmented end plate "to provide independent access to every cable that enters the closure," according to the company. Tested in accordance to Telcordia GR-771-CORE, the fiber-optic dome closure is suitable for direct buried, manhole, aerial or pole/wall mount applications in FTTH and backhaul network deployments. With a compact size of 16"L x 10"W x 5.7 D (41cm x 25cm x 14cm), the dome's hinged collar system allows for quick re-entry, with no special tools required and no other cables disrupted in the process.
