At EMC World in Las Vegas (May 21-24), at its booth #627, Panduit will demonstrate what it claims is the longest distance Fibre Channel transmission of its kind, i.e. 16-Gigabit Fibre Channel over 1 km of multimode fiber-optic cabling. The demonstration will feature QLogic's new 16-Gigabit Fibre Channel FlexSuite host bus adapters (HBAs) linked to a SANBlaze VirtuaLUN Target Emulator, with Panduit Signature Core multimode fiber cabling and connectivity.

Panduit claims the Signature Core fiber-optic cabling system maintains signal integrity beyond that of all other types of multimode fiber.
