Can modularity resolve uncertain data center growth plans?

Panel discussion video from the recent Uptime Institute Symposium 2012.

In a recent Youtube video highlight, industry experts who participated in the Economics of Modular Data Centers panel at the Uptime Institute Symposium 2012 argue that, when comparing the cost of modular data centers to that of traditional data center builds, the biggest economic advantages don't necessarily lie in the deferral of capital investment -- and that rather, modularity can present a critical solution to the problem of uncertain data center growth plans. The panel's experts include: Henry Daunert, Chief Executive Officer, AST Modular; Neil Rasmussen, Vice President for Innovation, Schneider Electric; and Jim Smith, Chief Technology Officer, Digital Realty.
