White paper targets enterprise BYOD challenges

New white paper from Wi-Fi infrastructure supplier Xirrus.

A new white paper from Wi-Fi infrastructure provider Xirrus outlines network design considerations for handling managed devices and associated BYOD challenges within enterprises.

Titled Tablets in the Enterprise, the paper notes that the requirements being placed on wireless networks today differ significantly from what they were just a few years ago. Wireless networks now have been transformed from an overlay technology that primarily supported higher performance clients, such as laptops, to the primary connection technology for all types of devices. In the paper, Xirrus contends that the key to supporting the influx of tablets and other smart devices onto wireless networks is to understand these devices' unique requirements, and to design and adapt enterprise wireless network implementations accordingly.
