Samsung's SCP-2370RH features a 37x optical zoom and two built-in infrared LEDs.

At ASIS 2012 (Sept. 10-13) in Philadelphia, PA, at the company's booth #1125, Samsung Techwin America, a supplier of video surveillance and security products, is showcasing its SCP-2370RH high-speed infrared (IR) pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) analog camera with a built-in fan and heater.

The SCP-2370RH features a 37x optical zoom and two built-in infrared LEDs. Adjustment of the infrared intensity provides the required IR illumination at various zoom ratios allowing the camera to capture details in virtual darkness at distances up to 328’.

“By integrating IR illumination with the capabilities of a PTZ camera, the new SCP-2370RH makes night vision practical and affordable for a wide range of applications,” said Frank De Fina, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, North America. “This is one of the new additions to our camera line that reflects Samsung’s objective of providing higher performance video surveillance solutions with greater overall value.”

The built-in fan and heater and IP66-rated environmental housing make the new camera suitable for applications in challenging climates. Additional features, according to the company, include true Day/Night functionality, motion detection and the third generation of Samsung's Super Noise Reduction capability to deliver clear and vivid images.
