White paper tackles BYOD infrastructure provisioning

Sept. 27, 2012
New white paper from Meru Networks.

A recent white paper from Meru Networks addresses the topic of implementation and infrastructure provisioning for emerging BYOD [Bring Your Own Device] networks. Entitled BYOD Best Practices: Requirements and Challenges, the paper identifies key hurdles facing IT organizations considering support for employees bringing personal devices into the enterprise.

The paper's technical discussion contends that while "enterprises large and small, schools, retail businesses, and healthcare providers are all at various stages of [BYOD] adoption, they [all] face the common challenges of provisioning mobile devices for secure access to the network and scaling the WLAN solution to meet the onslaught of devices without [placing] an overwhelming burden on IT."
