In a new video highlight from the Uptime Institute Symposium 2012'sOptimizing the Data Center with DCIM panel, the event's roster of experts addresses the question: What is the value in DCIM software if a data center has other monitoring systems, such as a BMS, already in place? In response, the panelists touch on several key ways in which data center infrastructure management investments can be beneficial.

The event's panel experts included John Consoli, senior vice president of sales and marketing, FieldView Solutions; Jim Kennedy, director of critical facility engineering, RagingWire Data Centers; and Ray Pfeifer, senior vice president of business development, SynapSense Corporation.
