At the recent OFC/NFOEC 2013, Avago Technologies (NASDAQ: AVGO), Finisar Corporation (NASDAQ: FNSR), Fujitsu Optical Components Limited, Oclaro, Inc. (NASDAQ: OCLR) and Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd.announced their participation in the completion of specifications defining the electrical and physical requirements for the 40Gbps and 100Gbps CFP2 optical transceiver products and systems.
The CFP MSA member companies and interest groups showcased a broad range of CFP2 products and systems at last month’s exhibition in Anaheim, featuring a technology ecosystem including CFP2 modules, systems and test equipment. Other companies displaying CFP2 technology at the show included: Altera; Ericsson; InPhi; JDSU; Juniper Networks; and NeoPhotonics.
