Making the transition to SDN in the data center

Dec. 9, 2013
New white paper from Juniper Networks examines.

A new white paper from Juniper Networks is entitled Integrating SDN into the Data Center. "As organizations plan to roll out new virtualized architectures, they will need to consider how to transition from traditional networking to software-defined networking (SDN) and the impact it will have on the way they build their networks," states the paper's introduction.

The document from Juniper continues, "As the number and type of applications that need to be managed continue to grow, there is an increasing need to connect disparate resources -- some virtualized and some on legacy infrastructure, some local and some remote -- and as SDN is adopted, there will be a need to connect this environment. Making the transition to SDN will require the ability to convert from one connection type to another and from one environment to another."
