Ideal Industries names new senior VP

The company announced the appointment of Vicki Slomka as its new senior vice president of global Human Resources.

Ideal Industries, Inc. (Sycamore, IL), a manufacturer and supplier of tools, connectors and testing products for the electrical and data communications markets, has announced the appointment of Vicki Slomka as the company's new senior vice president of global Human Resources (HR).

In her new role, Ms. Slomka will lead the company's worldwide HR organization across all business units and its 1200 employees. Her responsibilities include overseeing the development and execution of HR policies, programs, and services, as well as global employee relations, compensation, recruitment and retention, and succession planning. In addition, she will lead in the development of long range HR strategies and goals critical to the company's success.

According to a press release, Ms. Slomka brings a wealth of distinguished executive leadership experience to her new role. Since 2008, she has been chief HR officer for Elkay Manufacturing, a worldwide manufacturer of cabinets, sinks, faucets, water coolers and bottle filling stations. Prior to joining Elkay, from 1999 to 2008, she served as group vice president of HR at Newell Rubbermaid. Earlier, she was HR manager for Moen Incorporated and Waldorf Corporation. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
